Biography
I am a trainee teacher, gaining my PGCE in Secondary Education from the School of Education at Roehampton University. I currently teach Religious Studies and KS3 Maths at Brentford School for Girls. Previously, I have had experience teaching across a range of subjects both in schools and in one to one tuition.
Prior to my teacher training, I lived in Hong Kong, working as a Secondary School Educational Assistant, an English Language School Primary Teacher, and for a tutoring agency (British Tutors) tutoring students in the 6 months building up to major exams. I have previously worked as a Media Planner and as a Headhunter. I graduated from Oxford University in 2006 with a 2:1 in Philosophy and Theology.
Personal Approach
Having tutored a number of students in preparation for their exams I know how to strike the right balance between ensuring coverage of all necessary syllabus material and making lessons fun, varied and engaging. I have built a strong rapport with all my students, while attaining excellent examination results.
What I do when I am not tutoring
I am currently based in Clapham Junction and a trainee teacher completing my PGCE in Secondary RS, due to qualify as a full-time teacher in 2010.
