Experience

I have been tutoring for many different top tutoring companies - including Keystone, De Silva, and Harrison Allen, and Dulwich tutors - over the last year. I currently tutor students ranging from 8 years old, through to undergraduate degree level.

Biography

I took A-Levels in English Literature, Geography, and Physics, and then in 2002 went on to St. Catherine's College, Oxford, where I gained a 2.1 in English Literature and Language. From 2007-2009 I trained as an actor at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Working as an actor and a tutor, I have considerable tutoring experience gathered from the last 2 years.

Personal Approach

I very strongly believe that for the most part, a student's interest and 'personal relationship' with a subject is extremely important, as this is what focuses and drives them. I therefore seek to inspire interest in them by viewing the subject from outside of the - often suffocating - academic sphere, before then concentrating with detail on exams.

I will then take the student thoroughly through past papers and questions, and very importantly look carefully at the examiners' mark schemes and comments from previous years. Then we can focus on how to tailor their mind and abilities to this, to achieve the best results possible.

What I do when I am not tutoring

I'm a professional actor, and also enjoying surfing in Devon all year round, basketball, and climbing.

I'm currently living in Souhtfields, London.
