Experience
As part of my languages degree, I spent a year teaching English to students aged 13-21 in a lycée professionel (roughly equivalent to a technical college) in the South of France. My teaching was mostly done on an individual or small group basis. The standard of English was generally low, but many students made excellent progress, so I am also comfortable teaching English as a foreign language.
I am now preparing several pupils for all round 11+ and 13+, GCSE and A Level French, and GCSE Spanish. A private (moderately dyslexic) all round 13+ pupil of mine has just been offered places at Dulwich College, Christ's Hospital and St James School.

Biography
I have just graduated from Cambridge University, where I led something of a double life, dividing my time between my studies in French and Spanish, and singing as much as possible, mostly as a choral scholar in the highly regarded Caius College Choir. My musical and academic interests were nurtured in Gloucestershire, where I was lucky enough to hold a full scholarship at Wycliffe College, taking A Levels in French, Spanish, English Literature and Music. I was also Head of School in my final year.
Although my degree was in languages, the high emphasis placed on literature by my course means that I am something of an all-rounder, and just as capable of teaching English Literature to A Level as French or Spanish.
Personal Approach
I believe in finding the best way of working with each individual student. Their needs vary hugely according to their areas of interest and preferred learning styles. I always discuss this with both pupils and parents, and then decide together how best I can support the learning process.
What I do when I am not tutoring
I now intend to make further progress with my singing, in the hope of eventually applying to Music College. For the foreseeable future I will be trying to build a career in private tuition and freelance singing.
