Experience
I completed my PGCE in Secondary Mathematics at UWIC, teaching in two challenging secondary schools, one Welsh-speaking. In September 2008 I started working at Cardiff High School as a Maths teacher. I taught all Key Stages, including A-level Core Modules. Due to relocation, I left the school and started at Chelsea Academy in September 2010, as an aspiring AST and teacher of Mathematics. While we only have Key Stage 3 students at the moment, I have been involved in planning and co-ordinating Key Stage 4 and 5 curriculum schemes of work. I ahve taught Key Stage 4 and 5 in depth in my previous post.

Biography
I have recently moved to London from South Wales and am really enjoying teaching Mathematics at Chelsea Academy. I enjoy working with small groups of student immensely, I think it allows students and staff to explore concepts and methods in more detail and develop closer working relationships. I have always enjoyed learning and strived for the best in my acaemic and professional career. Gaining 10 A*s and an A at GCSE then 4 As at A level, I went on to read Mathematics BSc at the University of Warwick. It was a stretching but extremely enjoyable experience and I am extremely proud of the 2.1 degree I was awarded. I then went on to train as a teacher and securing jobs in two exciting establishments.
What I do when I am not tutoring
I enjoy keeping fit, particularly running and cycling. I am also an avid reader and love socialising with friends, and shopping!
